Mini Reviews

I have been off of here for a while. Just have not had time to keep this updated. And also with posting a new blog post every single day I honestly got sick of doing it.. lol But I have still been reading.. =)

The next few days I am going to be posting books covers and descriptions of books that I have received/read in the past few months. Just to get my blog going again and getting some awesome book titles spread around the web....

These are going to be either mini reviews or just a star rating of what I thought along with the book description...

For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her...until Patch comes along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment, but after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is far more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel. For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.

Mini Review: I just read this book and I have to say it was one of the best books I have read in a very long time. I loved Nora's character and I loved Patch and Nora together.. I also loved the end of this book, it ended like a book should end, with no guessing... I will be reading this book again!!

Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but at least she got a guardian angel out of it: a mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But, despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He's more elusive than ever and even worse, he's started spending time with Nora's arch-enemy, Marcie Millar. Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Path hadnt been acting so distant. Even with Scott's totally infuriating attitude Nora finds herself drawn to him - despite her lingering feeling that he's hiding something. Haunted by images of her murdered father, and questioning whether her nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death, Nora puts herself increasingly in dangerous situations as she desperatly searches for answers. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything - and everyone - she trusts.

Mini Review: I read this one right after I finished the first one and it was as awesome as the first one and I really enjoyed it.. I can not wait for book 3 to come out. I was a little mad at the ending because it really leaves you hanging and pining for book 3. But I guess that is a good thing for the author. Patch and Nora's relationship gets a little complicated in this book but it is still a great book and it leaves you in suspense on what is going to happen.

I swear, my life was always totally normal. Normal house, normal family, normal school. My looks are average, I don't have any superpowers, no one's showing up to tell me I'm a princess—you get the picture. But when my junior year started, something not normal happened. There were new kids at school . . . new kids with a wardrobe straight out of a 19th-century romance novel, and an inexplicable desire to stay at school until sundown. And on top of that, James Hallowell showed up. James, who stole my sandwiches in fourth grade and teased me mercilessly through middle school. James, who now seems to have the power to make my heart race any time he comes near. But something weird is going on. Because James rarely goes out during the day. And he seems stronger than your typical guy. And he knows the new kids, all of whom seem to be harboring some kind of deep secret. . . .
Mini Review: This book was amazing! I stopped reading vampire books for a while because I just got sick of basically the same story over and over again. I picked this one up one day, just because it seemed to have a little romance in it and I am so glad that I read it. This book was amazing. It was well written, had a little romance and humor. It was an all around great book!

When Violet Ambrose's morbid ability to sense the echoes of those who've been murdered leads her to the body of a young boy, she draws the attention of the FBI. She is reluctantly pulled into an investigation that will endanger more than just her secret...but her relationship and possibly her life as well.

Mini Review: After I finished the first book in this series I could not wait to get my hands on book two. I was sent this book for review and it has been sitting on my shelf for a few months. I decided to pick it up the other day and read it. I was a little worried since it has been so long that I read the first book, that I would forget about the characters that I read about last year. But I had no problem getting into this book and remembering everyone from book one.... Amazing read!
