Getting Revenge On Lauren Wood by Eileen Cook-
In the final weeks of eighth grade, Lauren Wood made a choice. She betrayed her best friend, Helen, in a manner so publicly humiliating that Helen had to move to a new town just to save face. Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins

How to Hook a Hottie by Tina Ferraro-
At 17, Kate Delvecchio has one goal in life: to become a millionaire before the age of 20. And as far as she’s concerned, college will only slow her down. Review: Get Well Soon

Title: Get Well Soon
Author: Julie Halpern
Description:
Anna Bloom is depressed—so depressed that her parents have committed her to a mental hospital with a bunch of other messed-up teens. Here she meets a roommate with a secret (and a plastic baby), a doctor who focuses way too much on her weight, and a cute, shy boy who just might like her.

But wait! Being trapped in a loony bin isn’t supposed to be about making friends, losing weight, and having a crush, is it?

In her fiction debut, Julie Halpern finds humor in the unlikeliest of places, and presents a character whose voice—and heart—will resonate with all of us who have ever felt just a little bit crazy.

Review: I didn't hate this book but it wasn't one of my favorites. I really liked the relationship that Anna builds with the kids that are in the mental hospital with her. And I really liked that she felt like she finally belonged since she has always had a problem with her weight. The one thing that I did not like about the book and really didn't understand was that she was committed to the hospital because she had anxiety attacks and didn't want to go to school. All of the other kids were in their for setting fires, hearing demons, things like that. Not unless I missed a big key part of the book I just really didn't understand this part.
But all in all this was a good book. It was well written and was written for younger kids to read and understand. I wish that it would have been a little longer and we could have heard more about Anna and Justin's relationship after the mental hospital.

Looking For....

I tried looking to see if an audio book was going to come out for the other Gallagher girl series written by Ally Carter. I just ordered the first audio for the first book, I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have To Kill You. But I would really like to have audio for the other books as well. I normally don't listen to books on tape but I really am liking this series and would like to go back with the tapes and read along with them.

So if you know where I can get information on this please let me know. I tried finding the author's e-mail but couldn't, and I also tried looking on amazon with nothing...

Here is a little about the second book.

Review: Fallen

Title: Fallen
Author: Lauren Kate
(Available December 8, 2009)
Description: There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.
Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.
Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce–and goes out of his way to make that very clear–she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her.

Review: This is a really hard review to write, not being the book was bad, but because it never says what Daniel is until the end of the book. I was guessing all the way through the book, and anyone else who reads it probably will do the same thing, so I really don't want to give anything away.
I really enjoyed this book, it was one that I could not put down. I felt so bad for Luce, she goes through so much. She is sent to Sword & Cross because she is being blamed for killing one of her classmates in a fire. But Luce can not remember doing it. Then when she sees Daniel she keeps getting the sense that she knows him from somewhere, but she can't decide where she knows him from. This is a big part of the book that leaves you guessing with her and you keep reading faster and faster until you find out what/who Daniel really is.
Daniel and Luce's relationship in Fallen kind of reminds me of Twilight. I am saying kind of because I do not want any nasty e-mails about referring one book to another, but I am going to anyway. Luce and Daniel have a connection right away, but Daniel is trying to avoid Luce at all costs to keep her safe. As I was reading the book I just kept thinking of Edward and Bella's relationship in Twilight, but that is as far as the book goes to reminding me of Twilight. Lauren Kate is an amazing author, I can't wait to read more of her books.
